Established in 2000, the Australia Pacific Islands Business Council promotes trade and investment between Australia and all Pacific islands economies (including French and United States Pacific Territories) except Papua New Guinea and Fiji, and economic growth in those jurisdictions through business growth, communicates business issues to governments, and acts as a centre for networking and information for Australian business with interests in those economies.

The Council’s principal business promotion events held annually are one day Business Forums on Solomon Islands, Vanuatu and New Caledonia.  In 2013 these will be held in Brisbane on 19 June (Vanuatu), 13 September (New Caledonia) and 19 October (Solomon Islands)

The Council is a membership based organisation.  Membership is open to businesses with interests in the Pacific markets.  More information about the Council, including a membership application form and information about events, nice be found on the Council’s website, or by e-mailing
